It is also ideal for people who aren't sure where to take their vacation at, and don't want to be tied to one place - in case they won't have anything new to do at that place. Sudbury is also relatively close to the sea, which means you can take a bus or a train, or take your car, your friends and family and have a nice day at the beach.

Sudbury expanded as Dominicans started arriving in it during the 13th century, which caused the expansion of the local priory - one of three Dominican priories in Suffolk. During the 16th and 18th centuries the town had a decline, but had occasional times of prosperity, and a House of Correction was built, as early as 1624, and various theatrical companies visited the town - such as the King's Men during 1610, and Lord Strange's Men in 1592, and many others.
Sudbury got a railway line back in the year 1847 and a railway station was built near the Stour Valley Railway, which stayed active for a long time, even when other towns closed their railway lines.
