Other accommodation near Bracknell

Bracknell, which is a town that is located in the Bracknell forest in Berkshire in England, is 18 kilometres from Reading and 16 kilometres from Windsor making it ideal for people that want to make the most out of their vacation time.

The town is surrounded by vast woods called the Swinley woods and Crowthorne woods, and is filled with many green areas, making it a green lung in the heart of England.

Bracknell was started as a new town back in 1949 after the second world war, where a village once stood, that contained a civil parish. Due to fire damage and renovations not a lot is left of the old Bracknell for tourists to see, but you can still visit parts of the town and get a glimpse of the town's past, including its architecture.

During the renovations that Bracknell underwent new police and bus stations were added to make the town more safe and manageable for the average tourist, and many new homes were added for people that want to stay in the town for longer periods.

The town is famous for its high-tech industries, due to housing many famous world-wide technology oriented companies, such as Dell, HP and many more.

If you are interested in the local business - for example, if you are in town due to a business oriented vacation, you can visit the 22 acre Arlington Square which is a business park that was completed back in 1995, and is close to many of the business in this town.

If you prefer to partake in a more soothing activity - such as observing the local art, you are in for a treat, since there is a big arts centre which is located in the mansion that was built in 1760 but was rebuilt since then.

You can also go to the Wilde theatre or go to South Hill park where a lot of annual events are held at - such as the free acoustic and folk music festival, World Music, which is held there every year.

If you're worried about transportation - to and from the town, and around it, you have a lot to choose from. Bracknell features two railway stations that are located on the line of Waterloo to Reading, which offers constant service making it a hub for commuters.

Bracknell is also situated on the A329 motorway making it easy to arrive via car, and buses are available to take visitors to local spots in the area.

If you are visiting Bracknell with your family and you want a little rest and relaxation, you might want to enjoy the local soccer games.
