Other accommodation near Bicester

One of the fastest growing towns in Oxfordshire is Bicester. This historic market town is a civil parish in the Cherwell district. Bicester area is surrounded by lovely countryside and has plenty of things to see and do during your stay.

The main attraction for this town is hands down the Market Square. This quaint square retains most of its sixteenth century features even with all the modernization in the town. Every Friday you can enjoy browsing the various vendors in the traditional market while on the second Thursday of the month you can enjoy the freshest of produce by shopping the Farmer's Market. There are also a variety of events held in the square throughout the year. It's no wonder that it's the place to see during your stay.

Another hot place to visit is the open air shopping center of Bicester Village Designer Outlet Shopping. Here you can check out the shops of the top international designers as well as many different British designers. You can get many of the goods at as much as sixty percent off when you shop here. It's hard to pass up such specials on things like fashion, books and fine china. The kids can play while you shop away.

If you don't mind a little bit of a trip outside of Bicester you can find more things to do other than just shopping all day long. By traveling away from the main towns of Bicester you can find some of the most beautiful gardens to enjoy. These walled, water, country, formal and rose gardens are each a unique garden that deserve exploring. The best way to enjoy these gardens is start by exploring any main houses that might be with the garden before moving out to the actual garden itself. You might find some interesting history in all of the houses that you explore. It will also give you a better appreciation for the garden.

While you're away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping town check out the Hook Norton Pottery in Hook Norton. These hand produced pieces are a work of art in their own right and deserve a look. You never know what you might find during your visit.

Bicester is a town for the shopper at heart. You might enter with a heavy wallet but you will leave with it much lighter.
