Ashford that is located in Kent is considered to be both a town and a borough and is located in the Ashford borough in England, and was voted the fourth best place to live in the entire United Kingdom area, back in 2005.

Ashford is located in the River Great Stour and is close to the M20 motorway in which you can drive to the town. You can also reach Ashford by using the two railways that are in place.

Ashford is known for its agricultural market which is one of the most important of its kind in that county.

Ashford has various tourist attractions which include the Ashford Borough Museum as well as the famous Godinton House and Gardens. While in Ashford you might also want to check out the Willesborough Windmill and the main library that the town as to offer, as well as many other smaller libraries.

A rare sight can be found in Ashford - you can see a tank that was built in 1919 and still survived in Ashford where it has been displayed ever since. It is a world war 1 tank.

While visiting Ashford you might also want to relax and see the sights in the Ashford Green Corridor which is basically a linear park which goes near the two main rivers that cross Ashford.

You might also want to watch some sporting events with your friends and family and you have a lot of sport types to choose from, which include the Ashford Town Football Club which started back in the 1880s, or you can watch the Ashford Hockey Club which is based in the Ball Lane in Kennington and was established back in 1898.
